By enabling tasks in WeMindEMDR, you can load your client's working memory. These can be active or passive tasks..
Reaction tasks
There are two types of active tasks:
Visual task
Auditory task (Audio Random Interval Repetition)
Visual task
In the visual task, the client must respond to the changing shape of the ball. As soon as the ball turns into a cylinder, the client must press the down arrow button as quickly as possible. This is an active visual task because the client must concentrate on the moving ball and the change in shape.
Auditory task
In the auditory task, the client must respond as soon as they hear the sound by pressing the spacebar.
Note: If the client is doing the tasks on the VR headset, they will respond using the buttons on the controller.
Distraction tasks
You can also activate distracting sounds to further load the working memory, the client does not need to respond to these sounds, but the distraction makes other tasks more difficult.
